Change 2: Trine's Doctor of Information Technology Program is Officially Approved!

If you've previously enrolled in a master's program at Trine, you might want to consider this new offering. The Doctor of Information Technology (DIT) program is now officially approved and accepting applications for the spring enrollment window.

The DIT program is exclusively available at the Detroit campus of Trine University. There are two opportunities to enroll each year: one in January and the other in August, with each window accommodating up to 50 students. The tuition cost is set at $700 per credit.

This exciting development brings with it some significant benefits:

  • Limited Enrollment: The first intake consists of only 50 slots, so make sure to apply early to secure your spot.

  • Doctorate OPT Opportunities: Graduates from this STEM doctoral program will have the opportunity for 3 years of Optional Practical Training (OPT), which provides more chances for H1B visa lottery.

Interested in credit transfer to DIT? Students pursuing a graduate degree have the opportunity to count up to 6 semester hours of graduate course credit towards their degree completion, provided they achieve a grade of B or higher. This credit must be approved by both the program Chair/Director and Dean. Aside from these specific credits, all other courses must be completed at Trine University itself.

Transfer credits will be accepted, but they will not include grades and thus will have no effect on the student's overall GPA.
