Day 1 CPT Policy at Humphreys University

CPT status allows international students with an F-1 visa to gain work experience through employment training and paid internships directly related to your major area of study.

As an F-1 student in the MBA, Information Technology concentration at Humphreys University, you are required to maintain CPT employment. CPT must be authorized by DSO. Any job changes or address changes must be submitted to the DSO immediately. CPT will be counted as a 1-unit course each term as it integrates work and learning. There is no additional tuition charge for this. The practicum/CPT experience is an integral part of the MBA-IT program and participation is required. CPT is authorized from day-1 for the duration of the 27-month program with no gaps or breaks.

Day 1 CPT Programs at Humphreys University

There are 4 quarters in a year for Day 1 CPT Programs at Humphreys University: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.

The MBA-IT program is a 56-credit, 27-month program. It is a full-time hybrid program. Each quarter (11 weeks) you will take two 4-credit courses concurrently with a 2-week break between quarters. Both courses are delivered in a hybrid format with some mandatory face-to-face, in-person learning. Total 56 credits; 8 credits per quarter; 3 quarters per year (mandatory annual break given in your 4th and 8th quarters with CPT authorization).

Onsite frequency: Once a semester, International students who are enrolled in a hybrid program must attend mandatory face-to-face weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on the Humphreys University Campus in Stockton, CA. Students are required to attend the face-to-face instruction weekend session once per term/quarter. Failure to attend the mandatory weekend session may result in dismissal from the MBA IT concentration program.
