The term "Day 1 CPT Universities" is not officially recognized. Instead, it typically refers to universities that allow students to apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) from their first semester. However, obtaining CPT approval at the day one of the program is not guaranteed and depends on the timely submission and completeness of the application documents. Typically, it takes 5-15 business days to receive CPT approval after the documents have been received.

With campuses in Stockton and Modesto, certificate, associate, bachelor, master, and juris doctor degrees are awarded in a number of fields in five broad academic areas: law, business, education, human services and liberal arts. 🧭 Day 1 CPT Policy at Humphreys University

CPT authorization allows international students with an F-1 visa to gain work experience through employment training and paid internships directly related to your major area of study.

F-1 students in the MBA, Information Technology concentration at Humphreys University are required to maintain CPT employment. CPT must be authorized by the DSO. Any job changes or address changes must be submitted to the DSO immediately. CPT employment will be counted as a 1-unit course each term as it integrates work experience and learning. There is no additional tuition charge for this. The practicum/CPT experience is an integral part of the MBA-IT program and participation is required. CPT is authorized from day-1 for the duration of the 27-month program with no gaps or breaks.

There are 4 quarters in a year for Day 1 CPT Programs at Humphreys University: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.

The MBA-IT and MBA-OL programs are 52-credit, 27-month programs. They are full-time hybrid programs. Each quarter (11 weeks) you will take two 4-credit courses concurrently with a 2-week break between quarters. All courses are delivered in a hybrid format with some mandatory face-to-face, in-person learning. There are total 52 credits; 8 credits per quarter; 3 quarters per year (mandatory annual break occurs in your 4th and 8th quarters with CPT authorization).

Onsite frequency: Once a semester, International students who are enrolled in a hybrid program must attend mandatory face-to-face weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on the Humphreys University Campus in Stockton, CA. Students are required to attend the face-to-face instruction weekend session once per term/quarter. Failure to attend the mandatory weekend session may result in dismissal from the MBA-IT or MBA-OL programs.

Humphreys University offers Day 1 CPT for students in two of their MBA programs:

MBA, Information Technology Concentration (MBA-IT)
MBA, Organizational Leadership Concentration (MBA-OL)

Day 1 CPT is not available for students enrolled in MBA, General Business Concentration.

The MBA, Information Technology Concentration (MBA-IT) program at Humphreys University is STEM certified.

Students are required to attend the face-to-face instruction weekend session once per term/quarter on the Humphreys University Campus in Stockton, CA. Failure to attend the mandatory weekend session may result in dismissal from the program.

Yes, you can apply to Humphreys University without a job offer. However, the MBA-IT and MBA-OL programs require CPT employment throughout, and students without an offer at application/enrollment will have a grace period to secure CPT employment. Students who fail to secure CPT employment after the grace period will be transferred to the General Business Concentration MBA track.
