Concordia University Texas follows all ICE, USCIS, SEVP, and DHS guidelines to provide Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for eligible international students. With Day 1 CPT, you can start authorized practical training as soon as your program begins, and your CPT approval is renewed each term.

All MBA students—domestic and international—must complete practical training as part of their degree. For international students, this means CPT is integrated directly into your degree path, with no separate CPT course required.

To receive CPT authorization, you’ll need a job offer related to your field of study. Concordia University offers two types of CPT:

Part-Time CPT: Work up to 20 hours per week
Full-Time CPT: Work more than 20 hours per week

Please note: If you use Full-Time CPT for more than 12 months, you will become ineligible for OPT after graduation.
