Day 1 CPT Policy at National Louis University

National Louis University offers international students with Doctorate of Business Administration(DBA). This program is for international business and academic professionals who want to build upon master’s-level competencies, skills, and knowledge. Throughout the program, you'll master leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making, and research skills to become a leader in your field. You'll apply what you learn in the classroom to a real-world scenario through a required business practicum and build a professional network of business experts and fellow students from around the world.

The program's convenient blended format, combining online coursework with one on-campus immersion per term on our Tampa, FL campus, allows international students to earn their DBA from anywhere in the world. You can also choose to add a concentration in management to your degree.

The DBA program requires prior completion of a master's degree in business administration or a business-related field. Students attending full-time can complete the DBA program in four years. 

Practicum/Curricular Practical Training

The practicum/CPT experience is an integral part of the DBA program and participation is required. CPT is authorized from day 1 for the duration of the program with no gaps or breaks.

Day 1 CPT Programs at National Louis University

There are 3 semesters in a year for DBA Programs at National Louis University: Summer, Fall, and Winter.

There are 4 quarters in a year for MS Programs at National Louis University: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Program Format

Blended format. The program’s flexible blended format combines online courses with one on-campus experience per semester/quarter at the Florida campus (Tampa, FL) or Chicago campus (Chicago, IL). The on-campus experience is three days ion length, consisting of workshops, course orientations, course assignments and consultation with faculty members.
