1. What To Do If You See "Selected"
If you receive a "Selected" status, congratulations! This means you have passed the lottery stage. The next step is for your employer to prepare and submit the H-1B petition. Ensure you communicate closely with your employer or attorney to proceed smoothly.
2. Will The Results Be Released All At Once?
No, the results are not released all at once. They are gradually announced in batches. 3. What Does The Status "Submitted" Mean?
If your status says "Submitted," it means you are still in the lottery pool and have not yet been selected. This status can remain even if the results are gradually being announced.Being in "Submitted" status doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be selected. Some applicants may still be chosen as the selection process continues over time.
4. What If You Are Not Selected?
If your status remains "Submitted" and does not change to "Selected" by April 1st, it indicates you were not picked in the current round of the lottery. However, don’t lose hope – in some cases, additional lotteries are conducted if there are not enough successful petitions filed.
