Master of Arts in Management

Leadership is about people and relationships.  The Master of Arts in Management prepares future leaders to inspire others to accomplish a common goal. Students focus on emotional intelligence combined with innovation and critical thinking to become effective problem solvers and change agents. Interpersonal skills are more critical today than ever before as companies seek leaders who are able to engage employees and create a positive culture.

Master of Science in Accounting

The accounting profession is shifting to a focus in data analytics and Core-plus-Discipline approach to the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. It has become more important to have a deep level of accounting knowledge, as well as analytical skills.

The Master of Science in Accounting is a rigorous, Christ-centered, 37-hour degree program that focuses on meeting the needs of the accounting profession and provides an educational foundation to sit for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam. Study includes advanced financial and managerial accounting along with taxation, fraud, data analytics, and auditing. Additionally, graduates will be certified in Becker’s Data Analytics and Microsoft Excel Fundamentals.

The MS in Accounting, along with the prerequisites and a business undergraduate degree, provides students with educational requirements needed to sit for the CPA exam. The program includes 21 hours of Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) approved accounting hours and 3 hours of TSBPA approved ethics hours.

Master of Science in Finance

The M.S. in Finance (MSFIN) is a flexible, 36-hour STEM degree. An M.S. in Finance from Dallas Baptist University will equip you for a wide range of exciting and challenging careers in the investment and financial analysis fields. Their flexible course offerings can be completed as quickly as 18 months and are ideal for students wanting to enter into the finance industry.

The MSFIN program will equip students with various quantitative skills required for financial professionals, including expertise in accounting, economic, and quantitative analyses, and the application of modern portfolio theory. Also, the program will equip students with an understanding of current trends in fintech.

The MSFIN program will provide students with the knowledge base to sit for the Level I CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exam.

*An application for membership in the CFA Institute’s University Affiliation Program will be submitted after the MSFIN program starts in Fall 2020.

Master of Science in Management

Companies want leaders who can think strategically and act ethically to lead others into the future. The Master of Science in Management is an accredited STEM degree emphasizing critical thinking and analysis, strategic planning, and personal leadership.

They focus on innovation, analytics, operations, vision casting, and strategy through an experiential approach to prepare graduates for both technical and behavioral challenges. 

Master of Science in Organizational Change and Project Management

Companies seek leaders who can think strategically, adapt promptly and with flexibility, optimize present and future resources, and act ethically to lead others into the future.

The Master of Science in Organizational Change and Project Management is an accredited STEM degree emphasizing creativity, innovation, and decision-making strategies focused on leading organizations through major change initiatives and large-scale projects.

The program provides graduates through operational methodology and implementation processes and sound project management principles the opportunity to create, organize, and execute effective strategies, ensuring successful results. Every project carries a change component. Graduates gain solid understanding of organizational development, data analytics, and change management principles to guide the organization through successful change initiatives. 

Master of Science in Supply Chain Management

Recent events have struck havoc on global supply chains, exacerbating the demand for leaders who can think strategically, act ethically to lead others, and build resilience for the future.

The Master of Science in Supply Chain Management is an accredited STEM degree emphasizing innovative leadership and decision-making, focused on end-to-end global supply chain management strategies.

The heart of the program leads the graduate through innovation, data analytics, and operational excellence; challenging leaders to develop forward thinking supply chain processes, logistics, and supply chain strategies. 

Master of Arts in International Studies

The Master of Arts in International Studies is a 36-hour, non-thesis program designed to equip leaders for service in a broad array of multicultural contexts, including for-profit business, non-profit/non-governmental organizations, diplomacy, and government. The degree provides a broad-based view of how the interplay between diverse cultures affects commerce, diplomatic relations, society, government, religion, foreign affairs, the arts, and other facets of society in today’s global environment. Graduates of the program will be equipped to lead with distinction and diplomacy in an ever-globalizing world, as well as serve their communities in culturally-sensitive ways.

Master of Education in Teaching

The Master of Education in Teaching is a non-thesis degree varying from 30-36 hours that may be combined with other requirements to allow an individual to earn Texas teacher certification. The M.Ed. in Teaching enhances professional development of teachers who are committed to excellence in the classroom. The program and professors focus on facilitating the development of expertise in content areas, effective teaching strategies, and delivery of instruction to students in both the public and private school settings.
