The M.S. in Information Technology and Management program is a flexible, 36-hour STEM degree designed to prepare students to be successful servant leaders in a market driven by data and insights.

M.S. in Information Technology and Management graduates become Business/Data/BI/Systems Analysts, Technology Strategists, Technology Consultants, Information Security Managers, Information Technology Managers, Information/Privacy Risk Consultants, FinTech Specialists, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Program Managers, and so many more!

The focus of their program is on experiential learning through industry collaboration wherein students solve real world business problems using technology. The result is a graduate with the ability to transition into both disruptive and traditional organizations.

Degree Course Requirements - 36 credit hours

Required Core Curriculum - 24 credits

  • MISM 6320 - Systems Analysis and Project Management

  • MSITM 6342 - Database Management for Business Analysis

  • MSITM 6350 - Cloud Computing

  • MSITM 6341 - Python (Requisite MSITM 51.525 Programming Fundamentals or equivalent)

Choose one from the following

  • MANA 6310 - Leading Innovation

  • MANA 6330 - Leadership Development

Choose 3 graduate-level courses (9 hours) from Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Management, Human Resources, or Marketing:

Accounting

  • Choose any three ACCT courses (9 hours).

Entrepreneurship

  • Choose any three ENTR courses (9 hours).

Finance

  • Choose any three FINA courses (9 hours).

General Management

Choose any three of the following courses (9 hours)

  • ACCT 5311 - Survey of Accounting

  • ACCT 6321 - Managerial Accounting (Requisite: self-study three-week requisite course passed with a minimum of 85% course grade.)

  • ENTR 6301 - New Business Creation

  • FINA 6301 - Corporate Finance (Requisite: self-study three-week requisite course passed with a minimum of 85% course grade.)

  • MANA 6302 - Quantitative Analysis and Modeling for Decision-Making (Requisite: self-study three-week requisite course passed with a minimum of 85% course grade.)

  • MANA 6303 - Research and Statistics

  • MANA 6314 - Organizational Change and Development (Requisite MANA 51.521 Management Theory)

  • MRKT 6341 - Advanced Marketing Strategies

  • MSITM 6320 - Humanics: Agile Project Management

  • MSITM 6330 - Digital Ethics

  • MSITM 6307 - Humanics: Design Thinking

  • MSITM 6331 - Digital Transformation

Human Resources

Choose any three of the following courses (9 hours).

  • MANA 6301 - Employment Law (Requisite: MANA 51.521 or undergraduate equivalent.)

  • MANA 6305 - Talent Acquisition and Development (Requisite: MANA 51.521 or undergraduate equivalent.)

  • MANA 6340 - Workforce Analytics (Requisite: self-study three-week requisite course passed with a minimum of 85% course grade.)

  • MANA 6343 - Total Rewards (Requisite: MANA 51.521 or undergraduate equivalent)

  • MANA 6350 - Creative Decisions

Marketing

  • Choose any three MRKT courses (9 hours).

Concentration - 12 credits

Choose one concentration from the following:

  • Information Technology Management
