Is Day 1 CPT legal?

Yes. Day 1 CPT is Curricular Practical Training authorized under F-1 visa regulations, available from  the first day of an eligible graduate program at accredited universities that offer it as part of the
curriculum.

Will this affect my future OPT eligibility?

Enrolling in a new program does not use up your OPT from a prior degree. Your advisor will walk through your specific timeline during the free consultation.
