🧭 Day 1 CPT Policy at Trine University
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is a training program, available to all students at Trine University. Students receive academic course credit (0.5 credit per semester) for this training and these credits contribute toward program completion. With CPT authorization, international students can work part-time or full-time, while maintaining a full-time student status.
International graduate students admitted into an Experiential Learning Track, in which an internship experience is an integral part of the program of study, are required to enroll in an internship course for credit and be engaged in an active internship experience, whether full or part-time. Thus, CPT authorization is available from start of the program for F-1 students admitted into an Experiential Learning Track. F-1 students admitted into a non-experiential track must be enrolled for a complete academic year in order to be approved for CPT.
